Alcester has a new restaurant, with the unique idea of offering for lunch and dinner exactly twelve dishes - ‘the chef’s dozen’. We are Solanche and Richard Craven and this is our first restaurant; though we both have years of experience working in top-quality hotels and restaurants in the UK and South Africa, from where we have recently returned.

In his early days, Richard had worked at the Longbarn, so when the opportunity arose to re-open it as a restaurant, we took it on. Longbarn Village is a complex of beautiful timber-frame buildings on the outskirts of Alcester. It is on the B4090 towards Droitwich, a mile outside of Alcester.

We are a young, enthusiastic team, who care passionately about modern, light cooking skills and working with a core of sound ingredients, as local and as organic as possible, but no compromises on quality.
