Longbarn Village History
For many years Longbarn Village was a forgotton and abandoned selection of medieval barns. Then out of the blue the opportunity arose to put them to sympathetic use. Some were lost forever while waiting for the complicated process of numerous planning applications. Wrangles with conservation architects, listed building advisers and local councils added to the long delays. Eventually the barns were tastefully restored and saved. The restoration of the precious buildings created in excess of 100 job opportunities.
Longbarn Village is now almost complete with exclusive lifestyle shopping encircling the Cotswold stone courtyard.
